Säätötuli Canada distributes biomass boilers and furnaces in North America. Our products are based on the Finnish Säätötuli biomass burning technology for which we own the product rights for North America. We have a range of hot water boilers starting from 546,000 BTU/hr (160kW) up to 5,118,000 BTU/hr (1500kW). Our hot air furnace has an output of 1,706,000 BTU/hr (500kW), meaning it can provide roughly 17,000 CFM of air with a delta T of about 80°C. Our hot water biomass boilers as well as the hot air generators can be combined to increase the output.
For existing outdoor furnaces or maple syrup evaporators for example, we have biomass burner retrofit solutions that can convert log-fired equipment to work with woodchips or pellets from 136,485 BTU/hr (40kW) up to 1,706,071 BTU/hr (500kW).
Containerised biomass boilers
Säätötuli is a pioneer in the manufacturing of containerised biomass boilers (also called modular biomass heating plants). Säätötuli built the first unit in Finland in 2003 and has delivered more than 300 containerized units since. Therefore, our containerized biomass heating systems benefit of all this know-how and come in different sizes and shapes to adapt to all your heating needs.
Säätötuli Canada uses local sub-contractors for the manufacturing of parts like the pressure vessels of the hot-water boilers.
To meet the local electrical standards, our CSA/UL certified partner Multico Electric (in Drummondville, QC) manufactures all our automation cabinets.
Expertise and partner network
Säätötuli Canada has expertise also in heat networks and green energy entrepreneurship. Hence if you are thinking about beginning to sell green BTUs, or if you are looking for a way to build a biomass-fired municipal district heating system, do not hesitate to contact us.
Säätötuli Canada has an extensive partner network in Canada and Finland. Therefore we can help you to mount biomass heating projects that include not only the biomass boiler, but also all you need around it for a successful operation. We can help you with issues like harvesting equipment for the wood, chipping equipment, training and education on harvesting and chipping operations, fuel supply planning, energy-need calculations, socio-economic impact estimation and more.
District heating and hydronic heat networks can be easily made with the high-quality European-made pre-insulated PEX piping distributed in Canada by Säätötuli Canada.
Säätötuli Canada distributes biomass wood-chippers which are top quality PTO-driven chippers to produce high quality biomass fuel. They are perfect if you want to transform hog, slash piles, surface boards, branches and treetops to wood-energy chips to feed your biomass heating equipment.
Säätötuli Canada also distributes Pilkemaster firewood processors which are fast and reliable machines to cut and split wood.
You can discover all the different equipment we distribute on the “other equipment” page.
